 Elizabeth Glau, CMP has actively participated in the meetings industry since 2002. Her experience includes hotel catering, sales and operations as well as meeting planning and marketing. Elizabeth launched Building Blocks Social Media www.SocialMediaForPlanners.com with an understanding of how attendees are accustomed to networking and how they can increase engagement through social networks.

A member of the Ohio, San Diego, and Southern California chapters of Meeting Professionals International, Elizabeth has served on the board of MPISCC, several committees within the industry, and charities she is passionate about.

Elizabeth was born and raised in Gering, Nebraska and attended Nebraska Wesleyan University.

 

Most unusual aspect of your job: I do a lot of networking outside of the meetings industry and sometimes encounter groups of unusual people.
