SF Bay Area Lodge Earns LEED Status

SAUSALITO, Calif.

Cavallo Point Lodge announced its LEED Gold certification, making it the first national park lodge to receive the designation.

In addition, the project, developed and opened in 2008 on the site of Fort Baker, a military outpost now part of Golden Gate National Recreation Area, is the first hotel on the National Register of Historic Places to be certified.

The luxury resort includes a total of 39,000 square feet of event space.

I’m a strong believer in professional association involvement, and have served as a past president of Meeting Professionals International's Southern California Chapter (MPISCC) and a past board member of the Southern California Society of Association Executives (SCSAE). I also currently serve as a member of the Meetings Focus editorial advisory board, and as an industry speaker, trainer and panelist, am frequently invited to facilitate industry forums and address organizations—including MPI chapters, convention and visitors bureaus, colleges and universities, sales forces and allied industry associations.
