SPRINGFIELD, Mo.

The University Plaza Hotel and Convention Center, located in downtown Springfield, Mo., has kicked off construction on the hotel's new on-site, full-service day spa, to be operated by Grove Spa.

Set to open in September, the 1,100-square-foot facility will be Grove Spa's second Springfield location, will reside on the hotel's main floor, and will offer signature spa services including massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, makeup services and relaxation.

"Soon our guests will be able to enhance their exceptional hotel stay with a luxurious and relaxing experience synonymous with the legendary Grove Spa name," said Robert Henley, University Plaza Hotel and Convention Center general manager. "We're also planning to offer dine and relax packages as the go-to spot for locals to lunch and renew with family and friends."

"Our collaboration with University Plaza Hotel will enable us to accommodate sizeable groups by constructing a larger manicure and pedicure lounge and utilizing the hotel's facilities for parties," said Haden Long, Grove Spa director. "We plan to cater to meetings and other groups looking for a unique and relaxing experience."
