· The new mile-long Oceanfront Boardwalk and Promenade (843.918.1000; www.cityofmyrtlebeach.com) is slated for completion by June 2010 at an estimated cost of $6 million.

· Myrtle Beach International Airport (843.448.1580; www.flymyrtlebeach.com/expansion.cfm) will
expand its passenger terminal from seven to 12 gates. The $130 million project is scheduled to begin
in 2010.

· Nashville, Tenn.’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is updating its core exhibition, Sing Me Back Home: A Journey Through Country Music, to be completed in May 2010. From Waylon Jennings to Taylor Swift, the exhibit will be reinvigorated with new themes, content, video, audio and a new look. The main focus will begin around 1965 and move through five decades, including country’s collision with mainstream American culture from roughly 1965 to 1971; the new directions of the 1970s, including country rock and the rise of Southern rock; and the 1980s new generation of major stars like George Strait, Reba McEntire and the Judds.
