las vegas is turning heads again. Ongoing transformation is the norm in this desert mecca, and the current cycle of reinvention is one of its most remarkable to date, with massive investments in hotels, group venues and cultural, entertainment and dining offerings.

From the world’s tallest observation wheel providing new skyline views over the Strip to hip additions on terra firma, the “Entertainment Capital of the World” is living up to its name, while catering to an increasingly diverse clientele, including the meetings, conventions and incentives market.

In our second annual Meetings Focus Las Vegas supplement, frequent contributor Jeff Heilman examines the many changes sweeping town in “Keys to Success,” which also features a “Hip Hood” sidebar on downtown Las Vegas, one of the trendiest areas in the city nowadays.

Heilman’s lead story, “Strong Suits,” profiles the ongoing upswing in meetings business and the various factors that are fueling that growth.

Meanwhile, “Ready for the Big Time” sheds light on the mega events that are giving Vegas star power in the planning world, and “Here, There, Everywhere” covers the ever-evolving mix of entertainment options, from spectacular performances that continue to push boundaries to celebrity chefs who are creating cutting-edge dining experiences on and off the Strip.

To round out this year’s supplement, “Locals’ Take” shares insight from three Las Vegas DMC executives on some of the destination’s most memorable group options, including excursions that get groups into the great outdoors.

Also be sure to check out “The 'Greening' of Vegas” slideshow, located in the “Keys to Success” section. also features additional Las Vegas coverage and a comprehensive listing of meeting and event facilities.

Enjoy this year’s supplement and the many new sides of Vegas!
